The current Chairman of the WKKO is Renshi Robert Pepels a 4th Dan (degree) blackbelt with over 27 years of training, teaching and fighting. Besides Karate also an expert in weapons. Renshi first started Karate in his childhood soon to be followed by Chinese Martial systems. After many years returning to Kenpo and Karate systems like: Kenpokai, Shindokan and Kyokushinkai. Fighting matches full contact in mostly Kyokushin, Shindokan and Ashihara matches, followed by some allround matches due his new love Jujutsu. After being injured a few times on his kidney he started to train his own fighting team.
Short Biography
Robert Pepels founded the Ashigaru Honbu Dojo of the WKKO. He was one of the major people that combined Kenpokai Karate and Kempo Karate with Full Contact and Jujutsu. Only by doing this you can learn real selfdefence. He has fought in Ashihara, Shindokan, Allround and Kyokushinkai fights. He has also been active in giving seminars in many country’s around the world. His Ashigaru fighting team has won many medals in Semi and Full Contact Fighting. Learning, teaching and fighting in the Martial Arts has travelled him to many country’s like: Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Japan, China, Portugal, Ukraine and many others. Currently he lives in the South of the Netherlands and teaches Kenpokai, Shindokan, Shin Budo Kai, Kyokushinkai and Jujutsu at the Ashigaru Pepels Dojo’s. Robert Pepels has fought Full Contact in Competition 5 Shindokan Allround Karate Fights (3 Win, 2 Loss, 1 by KO), 4 Ashihara Karate Fights (4 Win, 3 by KO Kakato Geri – Mae Geri Jodan, Ushiro Tobi Geri), 9 Kyokushin Karate Fights (6 Win, 3 by KO Mae Geri Jodan, Kakato Geri – Jodan Mawashi Geri, 3 Loss, 2 by KO), and he has Fought the 30 People 2 minutes a round non stop Kumite Full Contact Fights.
